2-Ingredient Dinner Rolls Recipe: Hot Fresh-Baked Rolls in 30 Minutes - 30Seconds.com

Hot, fresh-baked dinner rolls in 30 minutes and using only two ingredients? We speak the truth! This easy two-ingredient dinner roll recipe is quick to mix up, prep and bake. They are soft and just waiting for a pat of butter.

The dough is made with self-rising flour and plain Greek yogurt. The two ingredients are mixed together until they form a dough. A few good kneads with your hands and it becomes a smooth ball of dough ready to be baked. The dough is cut into eight pieces, rolled into balls and baked for about 20 minutes.

If the dough is too sticky when preparing it, add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until it's easy to work with. You can make the dough ahead of time and wrap it in plastic wrap. You can wrap the entire ball of dough or section it out for the dinner rolls. The dough can also be frozen. Let the dough come to room temperature before baking. If you want to make the dinner rolls look prettier, cut a slit in the top before baking (or a few slits). This is one homemade bread recipe you do not want to lose. Dinner will never be the same.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put the flour and yogurt into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment. Beat on medium until it forms a dough. Remove from the bowl and knead until it becomes smooth (this happens fast).
  2. To make the dinner rolls, put the dough onto a floured work surface. Cut the dough into eight pieces and roll each piece a ball. Put the balls into a buttered cast iron skillet or baking pan covered with parchment paper.
  3. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
