The Ingredient That Might Be Hiding In Recalled Planet Oat Products - Mashed

The recall applies to Planet Oat's Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors. The recalled pints have item numbers of 70986 or 70990, and the UPCs for the products are 44100709869 and 44100709906. Only pints with these UPC numbers and an expiration date of 12/17/22 are impacted by the recall. Per the FDA, at this time there have not been any illnesses reported due to this recall.

The products were widely distributed, across the U.S. as well as Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, and the Cayman Islands. If you discover that you have a pint that's part of this recall, you can bring it back to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Out of an abundance of caution, even people without peanut allergies might want to discard the mislabeled products to avoid any health incidents that can occur if a friend with a peanut allergy decides to help themselves to some dairy-free ice cream.
